Arkansas River Trail Overview
 The
Arkansas River Trail is a planned 24 mile trail located in
Little Rock Arkansas. The trail has 11.5 miles complete so
far. The Arkansas River Trail has a northen river side which
runs from North Little Rock to Cook's Landing. The southern
river side runs from downtown Little Rock to Pinnacle Mountain
State Park.
The city
of Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas and lies on the
south bank of the Arkansas River. Across the river, is North
Little Rock a smaller business and cultural destination. North
Little Rock is home to Burns Park, the second largest municipal
park in the nation. This massive park has over 1500 acres
of hiking trails, ball fields, fishing, and a 36-hole golf
course.
