Overview
The
East Bay Bicycle Path is a 14.5 mile paved trail from Bristol, RI to Providence, RI. This completely paved trail has a 10 foot width its entire length. The trail is used by many commuters as well as tourists and recreational enthusiasts.
Features of the East Bay Bicycle Path include a nice mix of parks, woodlands, marshlands, ponds, coves and residental areas. Some of the parks on this ride or close by the East Bay Bike Path include:
- India Point Park
- Haines Memorial State Park
- Veterans Memorial Park
- Crescent Park
- Sabin Point Park
- Squantum Woods State Park
- Bold Point Park
- Independence Park
The trail follows the shore of the Narragansett Bay for a good portion of the its entire distance.
This trail is straight out of a postacard for Rhode Island. Take your digital camera along as every photograph you take will qualify as a screen saver on your computer's desktop. Future plans include a link up to the Blackstone River Bikeway, a planned 17 mile bike path.
