Fox River Trail
Fox River Traill Overview
The
Fox River Traill is
a 25 mile rail trail that goes from Green Bay, Wisconsin to the Brown County / Calumet County line. Starting in Green Bay, the trail is paved for 10 miles. Additional paving is planned. The trail occupies the former railbed of the Northern Railway Company which stop using the the train tracks in 1989. This trail is mostly suburban, but has several nice nature sections and lots of great scenery.
Highights of the Fox River Trail include Hazelwood Historic House Museum, Voyager Park, the Claude Allouez Bridge and the De Pere lock and dam.
A Wisconsin state trail pass is required for trail users (except walkers) over 16, and passes are available at self-registration stations and other locations along the trail.
Please note that anyone
age 16 or older must have a state trail pass in order to bicycle
or skate on the trail. See Below.
